Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker exited Tuesday night’s 125-114 loss in Game 2 of the first-round series against the New Orleans Pelicans due to hamstring tightness, the team announced.

It’s unclear as to how exactly it happened, but head coach Monty Williams told the TNT broadcast that they would find out more after the game.

“I think it happened on one play when he was trying to track down someone in transition. That’s when I think it happened,” Williams told reporters postgame.

It’s an injury to the opposite hamstring that caused him to miss time back in December.

Booker has dealt with numerous hamstring injuries throughout his career, as the last three seasons have all seen the Suns guard deal with issues with both his left and right hamstring.

A hamstring injury was also the reason why he was benched in Phoenix’s Game 3 loss to the Milwaukee Bucks in the NBA Finals last postseason.

Prior to heading to the locker room, Booker scored a game-high 31 points — all of which came in the first half.

The Suns guard scored 16 of those points in the first quarter alone.

Booker shot 63.2% on 12-of-19 from the field to go along with an impressive 7-for-11 mark (63.6%) from three-point range.

However, he only took one shot in the third quarter prior to exiting.
