Arizona Wildcats G Dalen Terry declares for 2022 NBA Draft

Dalen Terry is the latest Arizona Wildcat to declare for the 2022 NBA Draft.

The Phoenix native announced his plans to enter his name into the draft while also maintaining his college eligibility in a social media post on Friday.

“Frist and foremost, I’d like to thank Coach Lloyd and Coach Miller for recruiting me and giving me the opportunity to come to the University of Arizona and play for this historic program,” Terry said in his post. “I want to thank the entire Arizona community for accepting a PHX kid with open arms and making me feel at home in Tucson.

“I want to thank my family for always allowing me to chase my dreams. Without every one of you sacrificing for me, I wouldn’t be here today. I always want to thank my teammates for every single moment we had on and off the floor. I’m lucky to have all of you guys as my brothers.”

In 37 games played last season as a sophomore, Terry averaged 8.0 points on 50.2% shooting (36.4% from long range) to go along with 4.8 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 1.2 steals over 27.8 minutes per contest (all career marks).

Over the team’s Pac-12 Tournament and Sweet 16 runs (six games), Terry averaged 12 points, 5.2 rebounds, four assists and 1.8 steals over 35.2 minutes per outing.

Terry is the third Wildcat from last year’s Sweet 16 squad that announced their plans to test the draft waters, joining 2022 Pac-12 Player of the Year Bennedict Mathurin and Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year Christian Koloko.
