Former Auburn cornerback Ro Torrence announced his commitment to Arizona State via the transfer portal on Twitter Saturday.

The corner stands 6-foot-4 and weighs 197 pounds.

He had five tackles, one forced fumble and one pass broken up last season with the Tigers.

Torrence was the 2020-21 NJCAA and KJCCC Defensive Player of the Year at Hutchinson Community College where he won a National Championship, according to Auburn’s website.

In the regular season, he only allowed one player to catch a pass on him.

The first-team JUCO All-American had 28 tackles, six passes broken up and one interception which came in the title game, according to Auburn.

The Sun Devils lost both starters in Jack Jones and Chase Lucas, who broke the record for most ever games played at ASU.

ASU continues to add people via the transfer portal as former Florida quarterback Emory Jones is in for a visit this weekend, per Arizona Sports‘ John Gambadoro.
