The Arizona Cardinals entered the 2022 NFL Draft with eight total draft picks and end up with nine players.

Arizona was originally supposed to select once on the first day of the draft — which includes only the first round — but general manager Steve Keim elected to trade the team’s No. 23 overall pick to the Baltimore Ravens in exchange for wide receiver Marquise Brown and a third-rounder (No. 100 overall).

As a result, the Cardinals picked three times on Friday, during the second and third rounds, then made the rest of their choices on Saturday for Rounds 4-7.

What 2022 draft picks did the Cardinals trade?

Arizona also traded a fourth-round selection in the draft in a swap of picks that landed them cornerback Marco Wilson and edge rusher Victor Dimukeje last year.

Additionally, the Cardinals dealt a fifth-round choice in a trade that nabbed them tight end Zach Ertz in the middle of last season.

Free agency departures a year ago awarded the team three compensatory picks in the third and final day of the draft.

While the Cardinals saw high-end free agents Patrick Peterson and Haason Reddick depart in the free agency period of 2021, they earned compensatory picks for also losing running back Kenyan Drake (sixth-round pick), tight end Dan Arnold (seventh-round pick) and defensive end Angelo Blackson (seventh-round pick).
