“Bird City Football” pays homage to the legend of the phoenix — the mythological bird that rises from the ashes — which the city of Phoenix was named after.
Previous hashtags and other related names or phrases for the Cardinals over the years have included: #AZCardinals, #RedSea, #BeRedSeeRed, bird gang and “rise up Red Sea.”
The Cardinals come into Thursday night selecting at No. 23 overall, with the first round commencing at 5 p.m. on NFL Network, ABC and ESPN.
Arizona also holds the No. 55 overall pick (second round) and No. 87 selection (third round), both of which will take place on Friday.
The Cardinals don’t possess a fourth- or fifth-rounder, but do own two in the sixth (No. 201 and No. 215) and three in the seventh (No. 244 and No. 256-257) on Saturday.
The NFL on Thursday also tweeted all 32 team’s hashtags.
