The Arizona Diamondbacks have narrowed their managerial list to four candidates and are expected to announce a final decision Monday, according to USA Today‘s Bob Nightengale.

The D-backs’ list has been narrowed to former Los Angeles Dodgers, Colorado Rockies and Pittsburgh Pirates manager Jim Tracy, along with Triple-A Reno manager Phil Nevin, Oakland A’s bench coach Chip Hale and Cleveland Indians bench coach Sandy Alomar, Nightengale reported.

Of the four candidates, Tracy is the only one with managerial experience at the MLB level. Nightengale also reported that Tracy and Nevin could both end up with the team.

The Diamondbacks, who interviewed 11 candidates, have also shown considerable interest in Nevin. It’s possible the Diamondbacks could hire Tracy and Nevin to be on the same staff, one official said, with one as the manager and the other as bench coach.

Despite the report, Steve Gilbert of MLB.com said no finalists have been named, and the announcement may not come as soon as Monday.

The Diamondbacks fired manager Kirk Gibson on Sept. 26 toward the end of their 2014 season in which they finished with an MLB-worst 64-98 record.
