Report: Dallas fans harass Chris Paul’s family during Suns’ Game 4 loss

May 8, 2022, 5:23 PM | Updated: 7:16 pm

Phoenix Suns point guard Chris Paul had a rough Sunday in Dallas.

Paul fouled out with 8:58 remaining in the fourth quarter in a 111-101 loss to the Mavericks in Game 4 of the Western Conference semifinals.

He finished with only five points on 2-of-4 shooting to go along with seven assists, five rebounds and one steal in only 23 minutes played.

And following the conclusion of Game 4, Paul’s mother had hands put on her by Dallas fans and his wife was also pushed, according to ESPN’s Dave McMenamin.

McMenamin added that Paul’s kids witnessed the incident and “felt very unsafe.”

“Wanna fine players for saying stuff to the fans but the fans can put they hands on our families….(expletive) that!!” Paul tweeted after the game.

The Mavericks are aware of the incident and issued a statement a statement via Marc Stein:

“The Dallas Mavericks are aware of an incident between a fan and the family of Chris Paul. It was unacceptable behavior and will not be tolerated. The Mavericks, along with American Airlines Center, swiftly removed the fan from today’s game.”

With the series now tied at 2-2, the Suns host the Mavericks in Game 5 from Footprint Center on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
