D-backs acquire LHP Paul Fry from Orioles in exchange for RHP Luis Osorio

The Arizona Diamondbacks made their first trade of the season on Wednesday.
The D-backs announced the acquisition of left-handed pitcher Paul Fry from the Baltimore Orioles in exchange for right-handed pitcher Luis Osorio.
Fry was also optioned to Triple-A Reno on Wednesday.
The soon-to-be 30-year-old has spent his entire MLB career with the Orioles from 2018-22.
Fry has a career 4.80 ERA, 1.418 WHIP and 9.8 K/9 in 176.1 innings pitched across 187 games in Baltimore.
This season, the lefty has made 12 appearances and allowed eight earned runs (6.00 ERA) on nine hits (one home run) and seven walks (1.333 WHIP) to go along with 12 strikeouts (9.0 K/9).
Osorio, 19, pitched in 15 games (six starts) en route to a 3-2 record in the Dominican Super League in 2021.
The right-hander garnered 51 strikeouts and had a 5.83 ERA, 1.272 WHIP and an 11.0 K/9 in 41.2 innings pitched last year.
Arizona begins a four-game road series in Chicago on Thursday at 4:40 p.m. on ESPN 620 AM or 98.7 FM HD-2.
Diamondbacks RHP Zac Gallen is scheduled to start against Cubs RHP Marcus Stroman.
