Cardinals Corner: Kyler Murray not the only no-show for voluntary OTAs

The Arizona Cardinals kicked off their organized team activities on Monday without quarterback Kyler Murray and a handful of key contributors.
For head coach Kliff Kingsbury and Co., that was the plan all along. But for those on the outside looking in, the absence of the team’s franchise signal caller carries more weight.
Should there be more concern over Murray’s no-show or does voluntary truly mean voluntary in this situation?
Cardinals reporter Tyler Drake and Erik Ruby give their sides in the debate before turning their attention to the team’s involvement in HBO’s “Hard Knocks In Season” in 2022.
The exposure Arizona receives and the behind-the-scenes access is unmatched, but is the distraction of the series too much for a Cardinals team trying to figure out how to win in the second half of the season?
Or will the extra attention really be turned into added motivation and be the additional shot in the arm this team needs?
And with the amount of personalities and star power on the roster, Drake and Ruby will give their takes as to who they think will be the standout Cardinals of the series.
In addition to Murray and “Hard Knocks,” the duo also break down the signing of Darrel Williams as the initial reports came in of his contract agreement with the Cardinals.
And it wouldn’t be a complete Cardinals Corner podcast without bringing up James the dentist, safety Budda Baker’s alter ego when he’s out on the town.
All that and more on the latest episode of Cardinals Corner, an Arizona Sports podcast.
