Devin Booker, Chris Paul make Forbes’ 2022 highest-paid athletes list

Phoenix Suns guards Devin Booker and Chris Paul landed on Forbes Magazine’s list of the highest-paid athletes for 2022.
Booker came in at No. 39 by pulling in $39.9 million, while Paul found himself No. 43 by making an estimated $39.1 million.
Wedged between them in the rankings are Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid, Cleveland Browns receiver Amari Cooper and Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott.
Both players make an estimated $8 million off the court, according to Forbes.
Booker made $31.7 million on his Suns contract, while Paul was paid $30.8 million, per Spotrac.

Booker ranked sixth out of the athletes who are 25 years old or younger.
He has built his business profile around his deal with Nike, appeared in an NCAA Tournament-themed Corona ad this past year and also co-owns sports drink COCO5, which began a marketing push this year.
The Suns star is up for a supermax contract extension this summer that would not kick in until the 2024-25 season.
Paul most publically endorses State Farm, but his business endeavors include production company Ohh Dip!!!, his work with Historically Black Colleges and Universities and investments in GoPuff and other businesses that fit with his vegan lifestyle.
The top-five athletes on the highest-paid athletes list began with soccer star Lionel Messi, who had total earnings of $130 million last year, according to Forbes.
Messi was followed by LeBron James ($121.2 million), Cristiano Renaldo ($115 million), Neymar ($95 million) and Stephen Curry ($92.8 million).
