Kyler Murray indeed is taking voluntary organized team activities with a day-by-day approach.
The quarterback was not among the Arizona Cardinals in Tempe on Monday as the team began its third and final session of OTAs before mandatory minicamp.

Starting receivers Hollywood Brown and A.J. Green were other notable offensive players absent Monday.
Newly signed running back Darrel Williams joined his teammates for the first time in front of cameras. He signed with Arizona a week ago.

Murray, who is seeking a contract extension, did not attend the first chunk of OTAs but joined his teammates last week for the second, which notably came as the Cardinals grieved the death of cornerback Jeff Gladney.
Head coach Kliff Kingsbury told reporters this offseason that the voluntary nature of OTAs made Murray’s status day-to-day but that Murray is expected for mandatory minicamp, which for Arizona will take place next Tuesday through Thursday.
A two-time Pro Bowler, Murray threw for 3,787 yards, 25 touchdowns and 10 interceptions in 2021, his third NFL season. The first overall pick from the 2019 draft completed 69% of his passes last season.
Murray was not made available for comment upon joining his teammates for OTAs a week ago, but his presence was surely a positive sign amid his contract dispute with the Cardinals that has been in front of the public eye.
“He looks good, been working out,” Kingsbury said of Murray last Wednesday. “Obviously we knew (strength and conditioning coach Buddy Morris was) in constant contact with his trainer there in Dallas so we knew what he’s been doing.
“He looks like he’s been working hard.”
