We’re about a month and a half away from Major League Baseball’s trade deadline on Aug. 2.

Arizona Diamondbacks general manager Mike Hazen made it clear that the team’s performance in the next couple of series will dictate their plan.

Hazen hinted that a right-handed infielder would be at the top of his wish list, but that may depend on how the D-backs fare over the next few weeks.

A third Wild Card spot gives Arizona a better chance at making the playoffs.

However, don’t expect Hazen and Co. to make significant additions if the Diamondbacks trail significantly in the standings.

Steve Zinsmeister and Cody Fincher of The Ain’t No Fang Podcast discuss: At what point do Hazen and the D-backs decide if they will be buyers or sellers at the trade deadline?
