The Threads Blog has been covering NBA and NFL draft fashion for awhile now, and while it remains to be seen how this 2022 NBA Draft class shakes out, it appears safe to say the green room put out the most risky and loud collection of suits in recent memory.
Let’s start with likely top-three pick Paolo Banchero out of Duke, who wore the most purple of suits — apparently because the Seattle product felt guilty about not attending the University of Washington.
Another potential top-three pick, Gonzaga’s Chet Holmgren, brought some Travis Barker vibes with the all-black color scheme, including a very fluffy jacket and dice chain.
And G League product Jaden Hardy had an off-white look going with sequinned jewels that pop.
It was a huge day for bold colors though.
LSU wing Tari Eason had a green suit with ice that played off the Atari logo, Arizona’s Bennedict Mathurin had a red-patterned look and Baylor’s Jeremy Sochan brought it with a pinkish-purple suit-pant combo.
May all the green room invitees have as colorful of NBA careers as they do draft-day getups.
