Arizona Diamondbacks top prospect Corbin Carroll has been called up from Double-A Amarillo to Triple-A Reno on Saturday, according to the Aces.

The outfielder was also ranked the No. 3 overall prospect across the minor leagues, according to MLB Pipeline.

Carroll batted .313 in Amarillo with 16 home runs, 39 RBIs, 20 stolen bases and 41 walks in 58 games. He has an OPS of 1.073 on .313/.430/.643 splits this season.

He was drafted 16th overall in the 2019 MLB Draft and has quickly escalated through the D-backs’ minor league ranks.

Only Detroit Tigers outfielder Riley Green and New York Mets catcher Francisco Alvarez rank higher than Carroll.

Greene has already been called up to the major leagues and played games with Detroit.

Carroll only played seven games in 2021 due to a shoulder injury and did not play in 2020 due to COVID-19 canceling minor league seasons.

MLB.com has a 2023 projection for Carroll to make the D-backs’ major league roster.

Shortstop Jordan Lawler (No. 13) and RHP Blake Walston (No. 74) both appeared on the top 100 list of minor league players for Arizona.
