Bush hopes to play this Sunday against Cardinals

Sep 26, 2012, 10:25 PM | Updated: 10:28 pm

NFL players are almost always too optimistic about playing their next game after suffering an injury the previous week. So it should come as no surprise that Miami Dolphins running back Reggie Bush stated he hopes to suit up against the Arizona Cardinals this Sunday.

Last Sunday, Bush was taken out of the game after suffering a knee injury in a loss to the New York Jets. What appeared to be a serious injury now looks less severe as reports now show their is a possibility Bush could play in his team’s next game.

But, in a statement to the Sun-Sentinel, Bush made it clear that if he has any say in it, he’d be taking the field for his team’s Week 4 matchup against the Cardinals.

Dolphins head coach Joe Philbin hasn’t ruled out the talented starting running back this Sunday, but made it clear he’s not going to be starting Bush until he’s positive he’s healthy.
