Zack Godley is starting to make a name for himself on this Diamondbacks team, if he hasn’t already.

The D-backs rookie right-handed pitcher threw six shut-out innings and led the team to a 6-4 win over the Washington Nationals on Monday night.

Godley is now 3-0 and became just the seventh pitcher in team history to win their first three starts with the team.

The rookie struck out six batters, while only walking two and giving up three hits. He was efficient throughout the night, which included retiring the first nine batters of the game.

Arizona’s line-up woke up and gave Godley some run support after taking a brief slumber in Houston to club four home runs on the night.

Nick Ahmed, David Peralta, Wellington Castillo and Jake Lamb all homered to give the D-backs a cushion it would not give up.

The team has now won seven of their last nine games and have evened the season series against Washington at two apiece.

Here’s a look at the team’s victory, By the Numbers:

The amount of times the Diamondbacks homered in back-to-back at-bats this season.

Godley became the 3rd D-backs pitcher to win their first three Major League games. In his first three starts, Godley is 3-0 with a 1.50 ERA and 17 strikeouts.

The number of home runs hit by catcher Welington Castillo in 35 games since being traded from Seattle. He has five home runs in his past six games.

The number of consecutive saves from closer Brad Ziegler since being named to the role on May 21.

The number of wins when leading after eight innings this season.

Amount of RBI from A.J. Pollock over his last 17 games. His sacrifice fly gave the D-backs a 5-0 lead in the fifth inning.
