After making a trio of picks across Day 1 of the 2022 MLB Draft, the Arizona Diamondbacks embarked on Day 2 with eight total picks.

A look at how Arizona used its selections on Tuesday:

Round 3 (No. 82): Nate Savino, LHP, Virginia

Savino, 20, was the second player off the board in Monday’s continuation of the MLB Draft.

In his junior season at Virginia, the 6-foot-3, 210-pound pitcher went 6-6 with a 3.69 ERA over 15 starts. Over 78 innings pitched, Savino allowed 32 earned runs on 78 hits and 32 walks. He also struck out 79 batters.

He picked up the ACC Pitcher of the Week on March 14 for his complete game shutout over Duke.

Round 4 (No. 108): Dylan Ray, RHP, Alabama

Ray, 21, went 1-4 with a 4.60 ERA and eight saves over 18 games played last season as a freshman.

For his efforts, the 6-foot-3, 230-pound pitcher was named to the 2022 Freshman All-SEC Team.

Round 5 (No. 138): Andrew Pintar, SS, BYU

As a sophomore at BYU this past season (17 games played), the 6-foot-2, 190-pound 21-year-old shortstop averaged .209 with a .613 OPS.

Pintar’s 2022 was cut short after undergoing season-ending shoulder surgery in March.

The year prior, Mabry, 21, posted a 1.13 ERA over 12 games.

Round 7 (No. 198): Demetrio Crisantes, SS, Nogales High School

Crisantes played all four years of high school on the varsity team, with his senior year being the most impressive.

The shortstop’s 2022 season saw the Arizona commit hit for a .485 average that included 15 doubles, four triples and seven home runs to go along with 26 RBIs and 48 runs in 99 at-bats.

Last season as a junior, Logan hit .281 with a .801 OPS over 45 games played (196 plate appearances). The catcher recorded 47 hits, 36 RBIs and 22 walks while striking out 21 times.

For his efforts, he was selected to the All-Pac-12 First Team.
