Anyone that knows him knows this isn’t why he does it.

Interestingly enough, Murray’s new deal is very close to the Oakland Athletics’ current payroll, the MLB team that drafted the QB in 2018.
Kyler Murray is set to make $46.1M a year with his new contract extension with the Arizona Cardinals.

While a majority of fans are pleased with the Murray extension, some fans expressed their displeasure with the amount of money Murray will be making.
Kyler Murray makes more money than Josh Allen. Let that marinate for a minute. #Bills

Yaawwwwn!!! And he wont make the playoffs AGAIN. Dude will crash like a house of cards 2nd half of season as per usual. SAD.

Sorry but I haven’t seen enough from Kyler Murray that he deserved that kind of contract extension from the Cardinals. I get wanting to secure him for the next several years but only 1 playoff game (not all on him) & decent QB play, that’s an interesting move by AZ. #NFL
