The Phoenix Mercury announced Thursday they have agreed to terms with forward Kaela Davis to a hardship contract.

Davis, 27, was selected with the 10th pick in the 2017 WNBA draft by the Dallas Wings.

Her professional career got off to a fast start. She was named to the WNBA All-Rookie team, averaging 6.1 PPG and 1.4 RPG.

Davis spent three seasons with the Wings, starting 16 games during the 2019 season averaging 5.6 points and 1.8 rebounds per game.

The former NCAA champion has played for four different teams in five years as she gets set to join the Mercury for the remainder of the season.

Davis has appeared in just two games this season, one with the Chicago Sky and the other with the Seattle Storm.

Throughout her career, Davis is averaging 5.6 PPG in 16.8 minutes per game.

Davis will be available to play Friday when the Mercury take on Davis’ former team, Seattle, at home.
