The Arizona Cardinals unveiled an alternate black helmet on Sunday that will be worn for three games during the 2022 NFL season.

It will debut when on Aug. 21 in a preseason game at home against the Baltimore Ravens as well as vs. the Philadelphia Eagles on Oct. 9.
The team will also wear the helmets on Oct. 20 for Thursday Night Football against the New Orleans Saints.
For each game the Cardinals wear the new helmet, it will be accompanied by the black jersey combo.
“The look of this helmet is so incredibly sharp and something I know that both our players and fans will absolutely love,” Cardinals owner Michael Bidwill said in the release. “We are excited to showcase them this season, especially on a national stage.”
The NFL changed its uniform policy in June 2021 to allow one alternate helmet for each team in the league.
