Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Michael Floyd underwent surgery on his injured left hand Wednesday night after suffering an injury in practice earlier that day.

Floyd took to social media to update the public about his condition.

Surgery went well as expected. Thanks everyone for the love and support.

Floyd injured several fingers after diving for a pass in one-on-one drills against defensive backs and immediately left the field.

Kent Somers of AZ Central Sports is reporting that Floyd indeed dislocated several fingers and will miss about a month, which could mean he’d be ready for the Cardinals’ season opener Sept. 13 against the New Orleans Saints.

The 25-year-old is heading into his fourth NFL season. Last year, he caught 47 passes for 841 yards and a career-high six touchdownds.
