Arizona Sports predicts Cardinals vs. Dolphins

The Arizona Cardinals are 3-0 for the first time since 1974, and they’re looking to improve to 4-0 for the first time since…1974. In their way are the 1-2 Miami Dolphins, who come to town with a rookie quarterback and great running game.
Will the Cardinals remain perfect in 2012, or will the visitors pull off the upset? The experts at Arizona Sports 620 tell you, and we encourage you to post your prediction with a comment.

I watched Hard Knocks this season, yet I haven’t heard of the majority of players on the Dolphins’ roster. Seriously. Maybe I just lost interest in them after they cut the fat kid from Pitt who had been stranded at sea.
Anyway, the Cardinals are playing well — especially defensively — so they’ve got to be licking their chops that a rookie quarterback is coming to Glendale. Ryan Tannehill has struggled, throwing four picks and just one touchdown in three games. Look for the Cardinals to throw early and often against the Dolphins’ pass ‘D’, which ranks 29th in the league and has allowed both Carson Palmer (373) and Mark Sanchez (306) to throw for over 300 yards.

This is a different test. It’s the first time in four games that the Cardinals are clearly the better team in all phases of the game. The Cardinals have better ownership, better coaches, a better offense, a better defense, better special teams, better fans, a better stadium and even better secretaries.
Other than South Beach versus Tempe Town Lake, the Cardinals have everything the Dolphins don’t…and that’s the test. The Cardinals have always played well in the “underdog” role, but how will they do when they are the hunter? I think they’ll do fine.

There will be a game that the Cardinals lose when they’re supposed to win. It just won’t be this one. Not with that defense going up against that rookie quarterback. Miami looks to be overmatched, but the key to the game will be Kevin Kolb. The Dolphins do have a good run defense with a banged up secondary. It will be up to Kevin Kolb to take advantage of that. The Cards defense is good enough to win this game on their own though. Final Score: Cardinals 20, Dolphins 10 |

I’m a believer.
I believe that the Arizona Cardinals have one of the game’s top three defenses, and I believe their offense is just good enough to get the job done.
The Cardinals will struggle at times this season, though this won’t be one of them. They are a couple classes above Miami, and should be able to cruise to a W. The only team that can stop Arizona this week is Arizona, and I don’t expect that to happen. |

The Cardinals are 3-0, and most people seem to believe they have life easy this week on their way to 4-0; not so fast. This is what you might call a letdown game. Last week I thought the Eagles horribly misused LeSean McCoy, who had only 13 carries, 70 yards and three receptions for eight yards. I was expecting lots of screen passes and short outs to get the Cards defense off balance, but it never happened. This completely hinges on Reggie Bush playing, but if he does, I say Miami wins. I think Arizona will lose the turnover battle in this one, which will cost them a close game. Final Score: Dolphins 17, Cardinals 16 |
