The Chicago Cubs took on the Cincinnati Reds Thursday in the second “Field of Dreams” game in the cornfields of Iowa.
Both teams did not stray far from the movie, entering the field from the outfield corn in their throwback uniforms paying homage to their clubs’ history.
Cincinnati’s uniform featured striped pants and jerseys with a unique striped hat and batting helmet. The logo is the same one the team used in 1919, the time the “Field of Dreams” players played in the film.

Chicago went with cream uniforms that featured the old school bear cub holding a baseball bat in the center of the letter C. The hat followed a similar suit in a dark shade of blue with the same bear cub logo.

The jerseys and logos were not the only unique elements the game offered. Clips from characters in the movie ‘having a catch’ aired, a Ray Liotta memorial was held and a Harry Caray hologram sang Take Me Out to the Ballgame during the seventh-inning stretch.
