Fiesta Bowl Charities announced they have surpassed the $3 million mark of charitable giving for 2022-23.

The money will be spread across 40 different nonprofit organizations in Arizona that are involved in youth, sports and education.

Through the Vrbo Fiesta Bowl, Guaranteed Rate Bowl and Fiesta Bowl Parade, the charities have raised nearly $23 million in the last seven years and $28 million in the last 12, according to the website.

“Our annual events help support statewide nonprofits who provide a wide range of programs that are truly inspiring to our Foundation, volunteers and fans,” Chair of the Fiesta Bowl Board of Directors Randal Norton said.

“When you witness firsthand how these deserving charities deliver to their beneficiaries, it validates our mission and motivates us to do more.”

This is the fifth straight year the Fiesta Bowl Charities have donated $3 million or more to nonprofits and teachers across Arizona.

Grants are split into three different tiers: Spirit of the Fiesta Bowl Grant for $100,000, Touchdown Grant at $50,000 and the Field Goal Grant for $25,000.

The charities also have a program called Wishes for Teachers, which will give $2,500 each to over 400 teachers. The program has granted $4.7 million to 1,200 teachers and impacted more than 500,000 students across the state, according to the website.
