It’s not every day that a professional golfer gets to show off their arm while out on the course.
It’s also not every day that a fan tries to sink a putt on their phone with a remote control ball.
Well, that’s exactly what happened on Saturday at the BMW Championship, as PGA Tour star Rory McIlroy launched a fan’s remote-controlled ball off the green and into the water.

The fan was immediately removed by a local police officer while giving a double thumbs-down motion toward something off camera.
However, it remains unclear as to how or why the fan was even able to get so close to the action and players, as he was standing on the fringe.
The incident occurred on the 15th green during the third day of the second leg of the FedEx Cup Playoffs at Wilmington Country Club.
McIlroy ended up parring the par-3 after finding the water hazard for a triple bogey on Thursday and birdieing the hole on Friday.
He finished Saturday’s round one under par — a 70 total — to bring him to minus-7 for the tournament.
The Northern Irish McIlroy currently sits in 10th place, five strokes back of American leader Patrick Cantlay.
McIlroy is also in ninth place in the FedEx Cup Playoff standings.
