Coyotes persevere, head towards postseason

The Phoenix Coyotes are gearing up for a second straight playoff appearance, and yet again talk about the team’s potential sale/move is what’s dominating the headlines.

Coyotes coach Dave Tippett, on Sports 620 KTAR’s Doug and Wolf Tuesday, said that, rather than be a distraction, his team has been galvanized by the controversy.

“We have to concentrate on hockey and hopefully the rest of it gets taken care of,” he said, acknowledging that nobody really felt this ordeal would still be going on. “We have to continue to play well. Our players recognize, we play well and have success on the ice the chances of getting a good owner in here is probably better, so we might as well play well.”
