The Phoenix Coyotes signed goaltender Jason LaBarbera to a two-year contract on Monday.
“We are very pleased to sign Jason to a new contract,” Coyotes General Manager Don Maloney said. “Jason is a quality NHL goaltender who has played well for us and been an extremely reliable player. We look forward to having him back next season.”
LaBarbera played in 17 games with the Coyotes last season and posted a 7-6-3 record. The 31-year-old goaltender recorded two shutouts and had a .909 save percentage, just above his career average of .906
LaBarbera also posted a team high for saves last season when he stopped 46 shots in a 3-1 win over the Vancouver Canucks on March 18.
