The Phoenix Suns have interest in trading for Utah Jazz forward Bojan Bogdanovic, Arizona Sports’ John Gambadoro reported Thursday evening.

Phoenix reportedly reached out to the Jazz about the 33-year-old following Utah’s trade of All-Star Donovan Mitchell to the Cleveland Cavaliers on Thursday.

The Jazz are rebuilding after dealing Mitchell and All-Star center Rudy Gobert this offseason, but they still have tradable veteran pieces on the roster.

Bogdanovic is entering a contract year after scoring 18.1 points per game in 69 starts last season.

The eight-year NBA vet has made 869 three-pointers over the last five years, the 10th most in the league.

Bogdanovic hit 38.7% of his shots beyond the arc in 2021-22 for a Utah team that earned the No. 5 seed in the Western Conference, plus he has playoff experience with 47 career games.

The Suns have not made a move for a player of Bogdanovic’s production this offseason, as their pursuit of Kevin Durant proved fruitless.

Phoenix is looking to bounce back after a second-round clunker last season, and Bogdanovic could provide spacing as a prolific shooter to pair with Chris Paul and Devin Booker. At 6-foot-7, he primarily plays the 3 or the 4.

The Suns would have to pair multiple players to match Bogdanovic’s $19.3 million salary for this upcoming season with whatever draft capital Utah agrees to.

The potential deal would be a win-now move with Bogdanovic on an expiring contract as the Suns look to get back to the NBA Finals.
