The city of Phoenix and the National Hockey League are now talking to three groups about purchasing the Phoenix Coyotes.
The team is currently owned by the NHL, who bought them when they went bankrupt in 2009 for $140 million.
There is speculation that the NHL is asking for $170 million.
The city of Glendale has not set a time table for the new deal, but officials would like to work on a deal to keep the team in Arizona this summer and complete the deal in the fall.
