Bear with us a minute so we can explain, but Taylor Swift’s fans believe the singer will be the Super Bowl LVII halftime performer at State Farm Stadium in February.

The short version is that Swift, who has a sponsorship deal with Coca-Cola, would not do a Super Bowl show because the game had been sponsored by rival Pepsi. That is no longer the case.

And when Apple Music announced at midnight ET on Friday that it was the game’s new halftime sponsor, well, that had significance.

The Haboob blog is not a T-Swift fan, but we have been told Swift has made a habit of dropping songs and albums at the stroke of midnight. She also uses “midnight” often in her songs. “Midnights” is the title of her upcoming album.

Early Friday, Swift dropped a song title as part of that next album just as Apple Music made its vague announcement about the Super Bowl halftime show agreement.

Oh, by the way: Apple Music and Swift have done a commercial together.

Anyway, if you an Arizonan and Taylor Swift fan thinking of reasons to attend the Super Bowl on Feb. 12 in Glendale, you might want to start saving up for that ticket.
