The Arizona Diamondbacks named outfielder Corbin Carroll the organization’s 2022 Minor League Player of the Year and right-hander Brandon Pfaadt the Pitcher of the Year on Sunday.
Carroll also took home the USA TODAY Sports‘ Minor League Player of the Year award last week after slashing .303/.422/.604 in 91 games with Double-A Amarillo and Triple-A Reno. Only Justin Upton in 2007 and Paul Goldschmidt in 2011 have won that award with Arizona.
The 2019 first-rounder also hit 23 home runs with 31 stolen bases, leading to his callup on Aug. 29.

Carroll has had a promising start to his big league career with a .833 OPS over his first 23 games entering Sunday.
Pfaadt has not made his MLB debut this season, as he is currently with the Aces.
He became the first MiLB pitcher since 2011 to break 200 strikeouts in a season this year. He sits at 218, the most in the minors since 2001.
Pfaadt has a 2.63 ERA in 10 starts with Reno and a 3.83 ERA in 29 minor league starts.
