Cardinals WR A.J. Green injures knee in 1st half vs. Rams

Sep 25, 2022, 3:07 PM | Updated: 11:16 pm

Arizona Cardinals wide receiver A.J. Green limped into the locker room at the end of the first half on Sunday against the Los Angeles Rams. He will not return due to a knee injury, the Cardinals announced.

Green had left the game earlier but jumped on the stationary bike and checked back in.

He dropped a pass with less than a minute remaining in the second quarter and landed awkwardly. The veteran held his right leg grimacing.

He left without a catch on Sunday.

Cardinals starting left guard Justin Pugh was ruled questionable to return with an elbow issue at the end of the first half, but he was back on the field after halftime.

The Cardinals fell to the Rams 20-12.
