Arizona Cardinals defensive end J.J. Watt missed two days of practice ahead of Sunday’s game due to a calf injury and illness, according to the injury report.

He tweeted his ailment Sunday morning, hours before kickoff against the Carolina Panthers, to get ahead of reports.

Watt said he went into atrial fibrillation on Wednesday, which is an irregular and often very rapid heart rhythm that can lead to blood clots, according to the Mayo Clinic.

Watt got his heart shocked back into rhythm Thursday and was back on the practice field Friday. He said he will play against the Panthers.

CBS Sports’ Josina Anderson reported that Watt will address his health situation after the game.

Fox Sports’ Jay Glazer reported that Watt felt light headed and something off in his heart while in a team meeting on Wednesday.

Watt has played through ailments before, notably last year when he returned ahead of schedule from multiple severe shoulder injuries in the playoffs.

Catch the game Sunday at 1:05 p.m. on 98.7 FM Arizona’s Sports Station.
