Arizona Wildcats wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan earned Pac-12 Freshman of the Week honors following a career-best performance in a 43-20 victory over Colorado on Saturday.
The 6-foot-5 receiver from Hawaii grabbed five passes for 90 yards and a touchdown. He also completed a pass on his only attempt, netting 11 yards.
McMillan was one of three Wildcats to record 90 receiving yards, and one of five with a receiving touchdown. He entered the game with 11 receptions for 200 yards and two touchdowns.
He leads all true freshmen in FBS with 290 receiving yards.
The freshman became the second Wildcat to win the award since its inception in 2019, following quarterback Grant Gunnell in Week 5 of the 2019 season. He also is the second offensive player to win a weekly award, as quarterback Jayden de Laura won Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week for Week 1.
McMillan committed to the Wildcats as the highest-rated recruit (46th overall, per 247 Sports) in program history.
The Wildcats (3-2, 1-1 in conference play) play host to No. 12 Oregon on Oct. 8 at 6 p.m. MST on the Pac-12 Network.
This game also marks the start of a challenging stretch where the Wildcats play five consecutive opponents that are currently ranked.
