Cardinals-Seahawks kickoff time remains the same after Astros sweep Mariners

Oct 15, 2022, 7:31 PM | Updated: 7:35 pm

Kickoff time for the Arizona Cardinals’ visit to face the Seattle Seahawks at Lumen Field will remain at 1:05 p.m. MST on Sunday.

The game would have been pushed back to a 2:30 p.m. MST start if the Seattle Mariners had forced a Game 4 in their American League Divison series with the Houston Astros.

Game 4 would have been scheduled for a 12:07 p.m. first pitch, which would have caused traffic and parking issues with the NFL game previously set to kick off at 1:05 p.m. happening across the street from T-Mobile Park.

However, the Mariners were ultimately swept 3-0 and eliminated from Major League Baseball’s postseason following a 1-0 defeat in 18 innings to the Astros on Saturday.

The Cardinals and Seahawks will be broadcast on FOX and Arizona Sports 98.7 on Sunday afternoon.

Arizona (2-3) and Seattle (2-3) clash while tied with the Los Angeles Rams by record, but each already carries a loss to an NFC West rival.

The Cardinals fell to the Rams in Week 3, while the Seahawks lost to the division-leading San Francisco 49ers (3-2) in Week 2.
