Outfielder Stone Garrett was the Pacific Coast League’s home run leader until his call up to the Arizona Diamondbacks on Aug. 17, hitting 28 long balls with Triple-A Reno.

First baseman Leandro Cedeno finished the 2022 campaign atop the Texas League leader board for homers, racking up 30 in 109 games for Double-A Amarillo.

And shortstop Jordan Lawlar put an injury-marred 2021 aside and worked a .910 OPS across four minor league levels.

MiLB.com listed its annual organization All-Stars for the D-backs this week, and Arizona saw production across the farm.

  • C – Juan Centeno, 32
  • 1B – Leandro Cedeno, 24
  • 2B – Cristofer Torin, 17
  •  3B – Deyvison De Los Santos, 19
  • SS – Jordan Lawlar, 20
  • OF – Dominic Canzone, 25
  • OF – Stone Garrett, 26
  • OF – Dominic Fletcher, 25
  • RHP – Brandon Pfaadt, 23
  • LHP – Yu-Min Lin, 19
  • RP – Kyle Backhus, 24

Outfielders Corbin Carroll and Alek Thomas were left off the list due to their time spent in MLB.

Garrett debuted for the D-backs before Carroll, although platooning held him at 84 plate appearances to Carroll’s 115.

Lawlar is the highest touted player on the list as a first-round pick and the No. 3 D-backs prospect ranked by MLB Pipeline behind Carroll and Druw Jones.

He started the season with Single-A Visalia and worked his way up to Double-A by the end of August. The five-tool shortstop stole an eye-popping 39 bases to pair with 16 homes runs this past season.

Lawlar now plays for the Salt River Rafters in the Arizona Fall League, where he is off to a blazing start with a slash line of .333/.500/.667 in his first seven games.

His teammate with Salt River, De Los Santos, is Arizona’s No. 6 ranked prospect on MLB Pipeline after producing a .847 OPS across three levels in 2022. He struck out an undesirable 147 times in 560 plate appearances (26.25%), but he earned the California League batting title with a .329 clip in 316 at-bats with Visalia.

Lawlar, De Los Santos and Backhus are the three D-backs prospects from the All-Star list currently playing in the AFL.

On the hill, Pfaadt, Arizona’s top ranked pitching prospect, closed the season as MiLB’s leader in strikeouts with 218, the most in a single minor league season since 2001.

The D-backs named him the the organization’s 2022 Minor League Pitcher of the Year after he helped lead the Aces to the PCL title.

The 6-foot-4 hurler with a plus fastball could be a candidate to crack the D-backs’ rotation or bullpen during the 2023 season.
