Arizona Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury told reporters Friday that running backs James Conner and Darrel Williams will not play Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks due to injuries sustained last weekend.
Arizona will also play without kicker Matt Prater and cornerback Trayvon Mullen Jr., while center Rodney Hudson is a game-day decision.
Conner injured his ribs in the second quarter of Week 5 against the Philadelphia Eagles and did not return. Williams started the second half but later hurt his knee. Kingsbury said Williams has an MCL sprain, and his prospects for Week 7 are dubious.
With Jonathan Ward landing on injured reserve this week, the Cardinals will roll with Eno Benjamin, Keaontay Ingram and the recently signed Corey Clement in the backfield.
Clement was added to the practice squad this week but will be elevated, according to Kingsbury. The 27-year-old ran the ball 33 times for 140 yards last year with the Dallas Cowboys.
On special teams, Matt Ammendola will hone the kicking duties for the second straight week with Prater out (hip). Arizona signed Ammendola from its practice squad to the active roster after Sunday’s 20-17 loss the Eagles.
Ammendola went 1-for-2 on field goals in Week 5, missing the game-tying 43-yarder in the closing seconds.
On defense, Mullen is out with a hamstring issue. The former Las Vegas Raider missed the first two games of the season, played in Weeks 3 and 4 and will miss his second consecutive contest.
Hudson did not play last week due to a knee injury but was on the practice field Friday.
