The National Hockey League, which has been embroiled in a player lockout since September 15, has cancelled the remainder of its preseason schedule according to a league-issued release.
The National Hockey League announced today the cancellation of the remainder of the 2012 preseason schedule.
The cancellation of the preseason schedule was necessary because of the absence of a Collective Bargaining Agreement between the NHL Players’ Association and the NHL.
There has been no announcement on the status of the regular season.
The Phoenix Coyotes are scheduled to start the regular season Saturday, October 13 against the Dallas Stars at Jobing.com Arena in Glendale.
