Arizona Cardinals nose tackle Rashard Lawrence exited Thursday night’s 42-34 win over the New Orleans Saints in the first quarter on a cart.

Lawrence landed hard on his right arm while attempting to tackle Saints running back Mark Ingram in the backfield and grabbed his shoulder.

He stayed down surrounded by teammates for several minutes before the cart took him to the locker room. The lineman was ruled questionable to return and did not check back in.

Lawrence has had difficulty staying on the field for the Cardinals in his three-year tenure. The former LSU Tiger landed on injured reserve in each of his first two seasons.

He missed Weeks 4 and 5 this season with a hand injury and returned last Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks.

Lawrence had four solo tackles in Week 6, one for a loss.

On the same drive, Cardinals cornerback Marco Wilson went into the blue tent on the sideline after making a hit. He came back in the following possession, though.

The Cardinals’ offense also dealt with injury in the trenches as left guard Max Garcia left the game with a shoulder issue. Garcia was also ruled questionable to return, and Cody Ford took over in his team debut.

Meanwhile, Saints cornerback Bradley Roby was carted off the field after Arizona’s first offensive possession. Roby was questionable to return and eventually ruled out.

Roby’s injury further decimated a shallow cornerback group for New Orleans, as starters Marshon Lattimore and Paulson Adebo were ruled inactive before the game.
