Well, would you look at that.

We are already well into the 2022 NFL season.

For the Arizona Cardinals, it’s been quite the roller coaster.

Behind slow offensive starts, an improbable comeback and an overachieving defense, Arizona has reached Week 8 just under .500 at 3-4.

As the team embarks on a mini bye week having already picked up the W on Thursday night, I’ve enlisted the help of my Cardinals Corner co-host Erik Ruby to give a quick recap of the weeks that were in seven words or less.

So, without further ado, let’s get into it:

Week 1 — Cardinals fall 44-21 to the Kansas City Chiefs.

Drake: New-look Chiefs squash Cardinals with ease.

Ruby: Welp. This won’t be fun.

Week 2 — Cardinals beat the Las Vegas Raiders 29-23 in OT.

Drake: Sorry about that revenge game, Chandler Jones.

Ruby: Wow! Hope they can keep the momentum going.

Week 3 — Cardinals fall 20-12 to the Los Angeles Rams.

Drake: Offense isn’t scaring anyone. Missed opportunity.

Ruby: Wow! They did not keep it up.

Week 4 — Cardinals beat the Carolina Panthers 26-16.

Drake: Expected more but hey, it’s a W.

Ruby: That’s the best you could do?

Week 5 — Cardinals fall 20-17 to the Philadelphia Eagles.

Drake: Valiant effort but let Philly escape.

Ruby: Can see solid foundation but needs change.

Week 6 — Cardinals fall 19-9 to the Seattle Seahawks.

Drake: Yuck. Shower needed after that one.

Ruby: Rock bottom.

Week 7 — Cardinals beat the New Orleans Saints 42-34.

Drake: “Welcome back, Hopins!”

Ruby: Hop(e) returns when needed most.
