Minnesota Vikings cornerback Patrick Peterson had some personal feelings come out in Sunday’s game against his former team, the Arizona Cardinals.

In the third quarter of a 34-26 win for Minnesota, Peterson took a shot at quarterback Kyler Murray, specifically his video games hobby.

Murray was intercepted deep down the seam by safety Harrison Smith on a pass well short of his intended target. Before the ball was even caught, Peterson made the incomplete gesture.

During the ensuing team celebration in the end zone, Peterson mocked Murray by pretending to put on a head set and play with a video game controller.

Peterson they crossed his legs and mocked Murray’s meditation celebration.

NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero asked Peterson after the win what game he pretended to play.

On the first play from scrimmage Sunday, Peterson was flagged for a horse-collar tackle and exchanged some words with Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury on the sideline.

Peterson spent 10 seasons with the Cardinals before signing with the Vikings as a free agent in 2021. The veteran has not been shy about criticizing and teasing his former team.

He even predicted he’d intercept two passes Sunday on the All Things Covered podcast.

Peterson had some key moments Sunday, including when he knocked a pass away from wide receiver A.J. Green in the end zone during the first quarter. He also had some lowlights, like this missed opportunity to tackle Rondale Moore on a touchdown reception:
