The Arizona Fall League released the rosters for the 2022 Fall Stars Game, and two Arizona Diamondbacks prospects made the cut.

Shortstop Jordan Lawlar earned a spot on the squad despite only playing 11 games due to a fractured left scapula he suffered on a hit-by-pitch. Lawlar — Arizona’s No. 3 prospect on MLB Pipeline — slashed .278/.469/.528 for the Salt River Rafters this fall with two home runs and four stolen bases.

The 2020 first-round pick finished his MiLB season with 16 long balls and 39 steals, as he worked his way to Double-A Amarillo at 20 years old.

With Lawlar still sidelined with his injury, right-handed pitcher Justin Martinez is Arizona’s sole representative.

Martinez is the No. 30 D-backs prospect ranked on Pipeline, and he is coming off a strong year in the minors.

The 21-year-old amassed a 3.32 ERA in 20 games across five levels, including Triple-A Reno. The reliever struck out 14.7 hitters per nine innings, relying on a plus fastball that can hit the upper 90s mph.

Martinez has thrown in five games with the Rafters and has two saves with an ERA of 3.18. Pipeline has his ETA at 2023, and the D-backs are in need of bullpen reinforcements after having trouble keeping leads late in games in 2022.

Here are the full rosters:

The Fall Stars Game is set for 5 p.m. Sunday at Sloan Park in Mesa, the home of the Mesa Solar Sox in the AFL and Chicago Cubs during Spring Training.
