Sun Devils, Wildcats football both big underdogs on Saturday

Both in-state schools are big underdogs for their respective Pac-12 matchups on Saturday.

The Arizona State Sun Devils (3-5, 2-3 Pac-12) are 10.5-point underdogs at home against the No. 10 UCLA Bruins (7-1, 4-1; No. 12 CFP).

Meanwhile, the No. 12 Utah Utes (6-2, 4-1; No. 14 CFP) are 17.5-point favorites in Salt Lake City versus the Arizona Wildcats (3-5, 1-4).

ASU is coming off a 42-34 win at Colorado last week in what was quarterback Trenton Bourguet’s first-ever collegiate start.

Bourguet set a school record for the most passing yards in a debut start and has won the QB battle outright over Emory Jones going forward, interim head coach Shaun Aguano announced on Monday.

The Sun Devils have also won their last three home games against teams ranked in the top 10.

Arizona at Utah

Earlier in the day, the Wildcats travel to Rice-Eccles Stadium to kick off against No. 12 Utah at 4:30 p.m.
