Cardinals’ James Conner, D.J. Humphries active vs. Seattle Seahawks

GLENDALE — Arizona Cardinals running back James Conner and offensive lineman D.J. Humphries are officially active for the team’s Week 9 tilt against the Seattle Seahawks.

Both entered the contest as questionable. Conner was a limited participant throughout the week of practice with a ribs injury, while Humphries got in limited work on Friday as he continued to deal with a back issue.

Conner hasn’t played since Week 5. Through five games, the running back has amassed 200 yards and one touchdown on 54 carries. He also caught 14 passes for 103 yards.

Humphries returns to the starting lineup after missing Arizona’s Week 8 loss to the Minnesota Vikings with the back injury.

Defensively, safety Budda Baker and defensive lineman Jonathan Ledbetter get the green light after dealing with an ankle and ribs injuries, respectively. Baker practiced in a limited fashion on Friday. Ledbetter did not log a practice day this past week.

This season, Baker has recorded 60 tackles, two passes defensed and a forced fumble. He also has two QB hits.

It’s not all good news for the Cardinals, however, with Dennis Gardeck officially inactive due to an ankle issue.

He joins center Rondey Hudson, cornerback Christian Matthew and guard Max Garcia. Punter Nolan Cooney, quarterback Trace McSorley and defensive lineman Trysten Hill are also inactive.

As for the Seahawks, wide receiver Marquise Goodwin, running back Tony Jones Jr., safety Joey Blunt, linebacker Darrel Taylor, defensive tackle Myles Adams and offensive lineman Jake Curhan are inactive.
