Arizona Cardinals right guard Will Hernandez was ruled questionable to return in the first quarter of Sunday’s matchup against the Seattle Seahawks.
Hernandez walked to the locker room with a trainer after the opening drive and was listed with a chest injury.
Rookie lineman Lecitus Smith entered the game on Arizona’s second possession.
The Cardinals have struggled with offensive line injuries all season, but Hernandez entered Sunday’s game as a consistent presence having started each game. The only significant time he missed in a game this year came after he was ejected in Week 4 vs. the Carolina Panthers.
Arizona got left tackle D.J. Humphries back after the veteran was out last week with a back issue but still had backups at center and left guard.
Center Billy Price had a couple high snaps in the opening quarter, one of which sailed over quarterback Kyler Murray’s head.
Hernandez never checked back in, and Arizona struggled to block for Murray in a 31-21 defeat.
