Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett admits he pushed Cardinals S Budda Baker on TD

The Arizona Cardinals and their fans are still left with questions from the 31-21 defeat at home on Sunday to the Seattle Seahawks.

To rub salt in the wound, Seahawks wideout Tyler Lockett admitted to getting away with a shove of Cardinals safety Budda Baker during a crucial third quarter touchdown.

Although no flag was thrown and Arizona lost the contest by 10, Baker took to social media about the play.

“My brother @TDLockett12 pushed the (expletive) out of me #Whocares #gameover,” Baker tweeted.

Lockett was a fair sport following the game and rightfully so as his team sits at 6-3 and in first place in the division.

“Yea I got away with that one bro,” he added after some laughing emojis while tweeting at Baker.

Arizona led the game 14-10 after a defensive interception for a touchdown by linebacker Zaven Collins. Seattle answered with a 13-play, 75-yard drive that finished with the third down touchdown to Lockett.

The Seahawks wideout lined up in the slot during a third-and-6 with Baker playing in man coverage. Lockett ran in a straight line toward Baker before a two-arm shove that forced Baker to turn his hips around and take two steps back, giving the Seattle wide receiver just enough time to secure a touchdown and the lead.

The play could have been prevented after Seattle’s second-and-six pass was deflected straight up into the air. Cardinals linebackers Ben Niemann and Tanner Vallejo both were in the vicinity to make the catch for Arizona but the ball fell to the floor, setting up the controversial play.

The Cardinals (3-6) have lost four games in the last five tries and will continue the uphill climb on the road on Sunday against the Los Angeles Rams.
