The first episode of Hard Knocks In Season edition featuring the Arizona Cardinals premiered on Wednesday night.

Arizona Sports’ Wolf & Luke broke down some of their favorite clips from the first episode of the behind-the-scenes coverage that includes inside the locker room.

Who stole the show?

Both Ron Wolfley and Luke Lapinski picked the Cardinals’ Budda Baker as their show stealer, with the former loving the safety’s impassioned plea he put out to his teammates to end their home losing streak (minus the profanity of course).

Wolf liked what quarterback Kyler Murray had to say about Baker, as well as linebackers coach Bill Davis challenging his room to “play harder than Budda… imagine what kind of defense we’d have.”

He also enjoyed seeing how close of a relationship Baker has with his sister.

Standout sound

When it came to Murray talking about Baker, Wolf loved the quarterback calling the safety “a dog.”

Meanwhile, Luke was more interested in the sideline exchange between Murray and wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins.

Luke also pointed to defensive coordinator Vance Joseph calling out a bootleg play against the Seattle Seahawks, as well as Murray asking how many pre-snap penalties the Cardinals had while walking off the field against the Minnesota Vikings.

Hard truth

The biggest thing that Wolf learned from the first episode was how much more of an impact Hopkins has on the team than he even suspected.

Luke, on the other hand, thought the Murray-Hopkins spat, the team’s failure to defend a bootleg that it was prepped for or head coach Kliff Kingsbury having a giant photo of a lion wearing a crown in his house were the most eye-popping topics.
