PHOENIX — Monday is the deadline to seal a deal that will keep the Phoenix Coyotes in the Valley.
Julie Frisoni, a spokeswoman for the City of Glendale, said the National Hockey League has received the paperwork from Renaissance Sports, the group buying the Coyotes from the league.
“All parties are moving forward and we should get confirmation shortly that the Coyotes have a new owner and they’re keeping the team in Glendale,” Frisoni said.
The purchase price is estimated at $170 million. The Glendale City Council approved a $225 million, 15-year lease agreement with Renaissance to manage Jobing.com Arena.
