The court has unique features to celebrate the 22 Tribal Nations in Arizona, including the center court logo surrounded by 22 feathers — which pays homage to the Native American medicine wheel — and traditional step patterns along the sidelines, which are also displayed on the team’s shorts.
The word for “sun” is also written in the 22 languages on the sidelines.

The Suns dedicated a wall in the arena to show each of the 22 Tribal Nations’ flags, as well.

The Suns plan to wear the City jerseys for 10 home games this season and seven more road games in cities with large indigenous populations.
The Suns consulted with the Inter-Tribal Council of Arizona and the Navajo Nation on the design process and collaborated with the Heard Museum, Phoenix Indian Center and Cahokia SocialTech and ArtSpace.
