Throw records out the window, the Territorial Cup is full of surprises every year.
The Arizona State Sun Devils and Arizona Wildcats are not playing for anything but the state’s bragging rights on Friday.
Before ASU’s third touchdown of the afternoon, the two mascots Sparky and Wilbur got into what looked like a somewhat serious brawl.
The only problem for the Wildcats is that not only did Wilbur seem to take a majority of the punches, but just seconds later ASU quarterback Trenton Bourguet threw a touchdown to wideout Giovanni Sanders giving the Devils the lead again.

Sparky seemingly landed the best punch of the brief fight, a right hook that spun Wilbur’s head gear around his head. The fight was finally broken up by one of the members of the cheerleading squad.
On a boxer’s scorecard, Sparky looked as if he landed five punches to Wilbur’s two before the camera cut off the Arizona State mascot.
The mascots were not the only two fighting in the stadium on Friday night.
After Arizona’s game-clinching interception, the Wildcats were very energetic in their celebration. The Sun Devils were not happy about losing the Territorial Cup.

EXTRA CUSHION
These teams do not like each other. But usually any sign of respect is shown postgame when players meet at midfield.
ASU defensive back D.J. Taylor showed his respect a little early in the game, stealing the mouthpiece of his Arizona counterpart.
Maybe Taylor wanted some memorabilia from his trip down to Tucson.
